Ziggy Marley

David Nesta Marley, better known as Ziggy Marley was born on October 18, 1968 in Trenchtown, Jamaica. He is the oldest son of Rita and Bob Marley, legendary reggae musician. Ziggy is also a musician, singer-songwriter and guitarist. He got Ziggy as moniker because he has been David Bowie fan since his childhood. He began his music career as a frontman of the band The Melody Makers which consisted mostly of his brothers and sisters. The band continued the reggae traditions. Since 2003, Marley has been working as a solo artist. The debut solo album Dragonfly was released in 2003. Next album “Love is My Religion” came out in 2006 and received Grammy nomination in the category “Best Reggae Album”. The last his album is titled Family Time.
