Zevon, Warren

Warren William Zevon, known as Warren Zevon, Sandy Zevon or Stephen Iyme is an American rock musician and singer-songwriter, born on January 24, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois and died on September 7, 2003 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. He began his music career in 1969 releasing his debut album Wanted Dead or Alive. The record wasn’t noticed by the majority of the audience and the sales were very poor. His second effort was self-titled album Warren Zevon released in 1976. The album had little commercial success as well but it would be called a masterpiece by Rolling Stone Record Guide. The breakthrough to the mainstream success happened when he released his album Excitable Boy. The album was critically acclaimed and spawned a hit single “Werewolves of London".
