Wynonna Ellen Judd, birth name Christina Claire Ciminella is an American country music artist born on May 30, 1964, in Ashland, Kentucky, the United States. She rose to fame in the 1980s performing with her mother. They were known under the name the Judds. The duo disbanded in 1991 and Wynonna decided to begin a solo career. As a solo singer, she has released 9 studio albums and 23 singles. The debut self-titled album Wynonna was released in 1992. The album has become the best selling to date – 5 x Multi-Platinum in the US and 2 x Platinum in Canada. The last album Sing: Chapter 1 reached number 5 on the US Country and number 37 on the Billboard 200. The album spawned three singles "I Hear You Knocking", "Sing" and "When I Fall in Love".
