We Are Scientists

American indie rock, alternative rock and post-punk band We Are Scientists from Claremont, California, was formed in 2000. The band's current line-up comprises Keith Murray (guitar and lead vocals), Chris Cain (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Max Hart (keys and guitar). Their debut album, Safety, Fun, and Learning (In That Order), was released in 2002. It received critical acclaim and brought the band a contract with Virgin record label. They achieved their break in 2006 with their second album, With Love and Squalor, which reached number 43 in the UK and also was certified Gold there. This album yielded the singles, "Inaction", "Can't Lose", "Callbacks", "Cash Cow", "It's a Hit" and "The Great Escape".
