Vile is an American death metal and progressive rock band that was formed in 1996 by guitarist Colin Davis and bassist Matt "Favor" Faivre, and the band's current line-up consists of Colin Davis (guitar), JJ Hrubocvak (guitar), Mike Hrubocvak (vocals), Lance Wright (drums) and Erlend Caspersen (bass guitar). They emerged on the death metal music scene in 1999 with their debut album, Stench of the Deceased, which received critical acclaim. This album also yielded the singles including "Terminal Existence", "Severed", "Persecution", "Surgery" and "Alive To Suffer".
