Unkle

Unkle, also written as UNKLE and U.N.K.L.E. is a British music project founded in London in 1994. The project was founded by school friends James Lavelle and Tim Goldsworthy. The current line-up composes of James Lavelle and Pablo Clements. The group’s music can be classified as trip hop, downtempo, electronic and alternative music. While working on their debut album, the founding members disagreed about what music to create and Goldsworthy left the project. The debut album Psyence Fiction was released in 1998. The album was critically acclaimed and reached number 4 on the UK Albums chart receiving Gold certificate. Since that time, the band has released four more albums, Box Set and B-sides compilation and in addition, quite a number of singles and extended plays.
