Unholy

Finnish avant-garde doom metal band Unholy from Imatra, Finland, was formed in 1988. The band comprises Pasi Äijö (vocals and bass guitar), Ismo Toivonen (guitars), Jade Vanhala (guitars), Jan Kuhanen (drums) and Veera Muhli (vocals and keyboards). They were one of the first doom metal groups in their home country. Their debut album, From the Shadows, was released in 1993. The band then signed to Avantgarde Music for the next album, The Second Ring of Power, but disbanded soon after its release in 1994. However, they re-formed only two years later. In 1998, they released their most successful album, Rapture, which produced several singles such as "For the Unknown One", "Unzeitgeist", "Wunderwerck" and "Deluge".
