Unheilig is a German synthrock and Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in 1999. The band was founded by Der Graf (The Count in English, birth name Bernd Heinrich) and by Grant Stevens. The current line-up composes of Der Graf (composer, lyrics, vocals) and live musicians Licky (birth name Christoph Termuhlen) – guitar, Henning Verlage – keyboards, programming and Potti – Drums & Percussion. “Unheilig” means “unholy” in English. The band signed Bloodline Records and released their debut single “Sage Ja” in 1999. The debut album “Phosphor” came out in 2001. The group played at all major festivals in Germany like Doomsday Festival, Zillo Open Air and some others. Later, they toured around Europe supporting L’ame Immortelle.
