American heavy metal, glam metal and hard rock band Twisted Sister from New York City, was formed in 1972. The band comprises Dee Snider (lead vocals), Eddie Ojeda (lead guitars), Jay Jay French (lead guitars, backing vocals), Mark Mendoza (bass, backing vocals) and A. J. Pero (drums, percussion). They emerged on the American heavy metal scene in the early 1980s with their debut album, Under the Blade, which spawned the singles such as "Under the Blade", "Destroyer", "Run for Your Life", "Sin After Sin" and "Shoot 'Em Down". In 1984, they released their most successful album, Stay Hungry, which yielded the band's biggest hits including "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" and "The Price".
