Twang

The Twang is an indie band from Birmingham, England, formed in 2001. The band members are Phil Etheridge, Martin Saunders, Jon Watkin, Matty Clinton and Stu Hartland. They were performing originally in the local Birmingham pubs under the name Neon Twang, but later had to change the name. They rose to fame in 2007 when they had their first NME cover. The same year they were talked on the BBC Radio 1. Later they released their debut album Love It When I Feel Like This. The album spawned the singles Wide Awake, Either Way, Two Lovers and Push the Ghosts. Either Way has become the most popular single as it peaked at # 8 in the UK. The next album Jewelry Quarter was released in August 2009 and entered the British album chart at # 20, while the debut album peaked at # 3.
