Trail of Tears

Norwegian gothic and symphonic black metal band Trail of Tears from Kristiansand, Norway, was formed in 1994. The band comprises Ronny Thorsen (vocals), Cathrine Paulsen (soprano vocals), Bjorn Erik Ness (guitars), Pal Olsen (guitars), Endre Moe (bass guitar) and Cato Jensen (drums). The band's initial name was Natt, but in 1997 their name was switched to Trail of Tears, in order to reflect the evolution of their sound and the changes that had been made from their initial line-up. In 1998, they released their debut album, Disclosure in Red, which included twelve tracks including several singles such as "The Daughters of Innocence", "The Day We Drowned", "Mournful Pigeon", "Swallowed Tears" and "Illusion?". In that same year, they were touring through Europe followed, alongside Tristania and The Sins of Thy Beloved.
