Tomahawk

American experimental alternative metal and alternative rock band Tomahawk from California, was formed in 2000. The band comprises Mike Patton, Duane Denison and John Stanier. In 2001 they released their self-titled debut album, Tomahawk, which was produced by Joe Funderburk. This album is somewhat of a concept album, documenting the events, emotions, and psychology of a serial killer. The opening track, "Flashback", is chronologically the final part of the story. The band's third and latest album, Anonymous, was released in 2007 through Ipecac Recordings. The album features Native American songs that guitarist Duane Denison researched after working with Hank Williams III. The album also spawned the single, "Sun Dance", which is influenced by traditional tribal songs that were sung by Native Americans during the Sun Dance celebration.
