Throwdown

American metalcore and hardcore punk band Throwdown from Orange County, California, was formed in 1997. The band consists of Dave Peters (guitars, lead vocals), Mark Choiniere (guitars) and Mark Mitchell (bass). Originally the band was founded by vocalist Keith Barney, guitarists Tommy Love, bassist Dom Macaluso and drummer Marc Jackson. They emerged on the American metalcore scene in the early 1990s with their debut album, Beyond Repair, which yielded the singles, "Falling Forward", "Don't Lose Sight", "Slip" and "Power Figure". It also received positive reviews from critics. Their second album, You Don't Have to Be Blood to Be Family, was released in 2001 and brought the band a contract with Trustkill record label. In 2003, they released their third album, Haymaker, which included guest appearances such as Scott Vogel of Terror and Buried Alive ("Nothing Left") and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory and Shai Hulud ("The Only Thing").
