Thorns

Thorns is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Trondheim, Norway in 1989. The current band’s line ups consists of Snorre Ruch – guitars, keyboards, programming, Jon Wesseltoft – bass/baritone guitar, Aldrahn – vocals, Christian Broholt – guitars, Kenneth Kapstad – drums. During its career the band has released only one studio album, it is self-titled record issued in 2001. It was recorded during two years from 1998 to 2000 and was released via Moonfog Productions. The album was very long awaited, it was released in ten years after their acclaimed demo Trøndertun had appeared and in two years after Thorns vs. Emperor split album. Stylistically the debut album differed from the early sound of the band. The album includes strong electronic/industrial influence especially on the tracks Shifting Channels and Underneath the Universe Part 1.
