This Providence

American pop punk and pop rock band This Providence from Seattle, Washington, was formed in 2003. The band's current line-up comprises Dan Young (lead vocals and guitar), David Blaise (bass), Gavin Phillips (lead guitar), and Andy Horst (drums). Originally, the group was founded under the name Sunday Best. In 2003, they signed with Rocketstar Recordings and began recording their debut album, Our Worlds Divorce (2004), which brought the band a contract with Fueled by Ramen. In 2006, they released their second self-titled debut album, which spawned several singles such as "My Beautiful Rescue", "Losing Control", "...But What Will They Say?", "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" and "Card House Dreamer". To support the album they toured throughout the US along with various bands including Cute Is What We Aim For, Paramore, All Time Low, The Hush Sound, Daphne Loves Derby, Relient K, House of Heroes, Ludo and Brighten.
