Thin Lizzy

Thin Lizzy is an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band was formed and led through the years by the songwriter and bassist Phil Lynott. After his death, the band underwent several reincarnations and the current line-up composes of Scott Gorham, Tommy Aldridge and of Francesco DiCosmo. Thin Lizzy is known to be one of the best hard rock groups and they were included in the VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock (#51). During its career, the band has released twelve studio albums, seven live albums, one extended play and 27 singles. Some of their main hits are “Whiskey in the Jar”, “The Boys are Back in Town”, “Waiting for an Alibi” and “Sarah”. Their most popular album is Jailbreak of 1976.
