French chanson singer, songwriter and musician Tété was born on 25 July 1975, in Dakar, Senegal. When he was a child, his family decided to move to Paris. As a teenager, he started playing the piano and writing songs. During that time, he performed at local clubs. There a manager of the record company noted him. As a result, he signed a contract with Sony Music. After this deal, he started recording his debut album, Le Préambule, which was released in 2000. This record was highly praised by critics and it also reached Top Ten in France. In 2006, he released his most successful and latest album, Le Sacre Des Lemmings, which produced several singles such as "L'aube des lemmings", "Fils de cham", "Anna lee soleil", "Madeleine bas de laine" and "La relance".
