Telex

Telex is a Belgian synthpop group formed by Marc Moulin, Michael Moers and Dan Lacksman in 1987. They wanted to experiment with different music styles such as electronic, disco, punk, aesthetics and pop, but without guitars and distance themselves from rock. Telex started with releases of cover versions of famous songs such as “Twist a St. Tropez” by Les Chats Sauvages, “Rock Around a Clock”, “Ca plane pour moi” and “Dance Pour Moi”. In 1980, Telex took part in Eurovision contest with their single “Euro-Vision”. Unfortunately, they ended up on the 19th spot. In 1986, they signed a contract with Atlantic Records. In 2006, Telex made their come-back with How Do You Dance on EMI. Their last release is a cover version of “On the Road Again” by Canned Heat.
