Tamia, birth name Tamia Marylin Washington was born on May 9, 1975 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She is an American-Canadian R&B and soul singer-songwriter, entrepreneur and actress. During her career Tamia has released four studio albums and she gained the popularity with her debut one titled Tamia. The album was released in 1998 and spawned several popular hit singles like Imagination (featuring Jermaine Dupri) and So Into You. Her best-selling album to date is her second release A Nu Day which yielded the hit single number one Stranger in My House. The single reached the top spot of the Hot Dance Club Play. Her other singles number one are “Into You” (album More) and “Spend My Life Without You” (with Eric Benet). Her last album Between Friends was released in 2006.
