Supermax
Supermax is a musical project founded in 1976 by Austrian musician Kurt Hauenstein. Supermax incorporated several music genres like soul, funk, jazz, reggae, African rhythms, and intensive pulsating sound that had became one of the peculiarities of the band. Supermax rose to fame in 1977 releasing its album “World of Today”. The album was supported by a hit single “Love Machine” which reached number 4 in Germany, number 6 in Switzerland, number 9 in Austria and number 96 in the U.S. You can download this album by Supermax in mp3 from our site. Supermax are known for raising political themes in their lyrics. Kurt dreamed in his songs about peaceful coexistence of all people of all races without chauvinism and racism. He wrote such songs as “Watch Out South Africa” and “Types of Skin”. His wife was African-American.
