Summoning

Summoning is an Austrian black metal band formed in Vienna, Austria in 1993. The band composes of only two members Protector (Richard Lederer) – guitars, vocals, keyboards and Silenius (Michael Gregor) – bass, vocals, keyboards. The band is signed to Napalm Records and they have released six studio albums. The band’s style differs from traditional black metal sound. They added keyboards and slow tempo creating atmosphere sympho-black-metal. Most of the band’s lyrics are based on the J.R.R. Tolkien Middle-earth world and on the works of one more fantasy writer Michael John Moorcock. The debut album Ligburz was released in 1995 and was a traditional black metal album. However, the follow-up album Minas Morgul was completely different. Keyboards became dominating in the band’s sound. You can download these albums by Summoning in mp3 from our site.
