American rapper Styles P, birth name David Styles was born on November 28, 1974 in Yonkers, New York, the United States. He is of Jamaican and South African origin. He is known as the founding member of such hip hop groups as The Lox and D-Block. Other D-Block members are Jadakiss and Sheek Louch. Being a solo artist he has signed a contract with Roc Nation / Bad Boy Entertainment and Roc A Fella / Def Jam. During his solo career, he has released three studio albums. The debut album A Gangster and a Gentleman was released in 2002. The next album Time is Money came out in 2006. The album peaked at number 79 on the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the Top Rap Albums. The album saw appearances of many rappers like Talib Kweli, Akon, Jadakiss and others. Styles P released his next album Super Gangster (Extraordinary Gentleman) in 2007.
