The Stranglers are an English rock group formed in Guildford, Surrey, England in 1974. The current line-up composes of Jean-Jacques Burnel – bass guitar, lead vocals, Baz Warne – guitar, lead vocals, Jet Black – drums, and Dave Greenfield – keyboards, vocals. The original band’s name was The Guildford Stranglers. The band reached considerable popularity in the UK, but couldn’t achieve any international success. Their best-selling album is debut work Rattus Norvegicus, it was certified Platinum. Two of their albums reached number 2 on the UK Albums chart – No More Heroes (1977) and Black and White (1978). Some of the band’s most popular singles are "Walk on By", "Golden Brown", "Strange Little Girl", "European Female","Always the Sun", "All Day and All of the Night", "96 Tears" and some others.
