Story Of The Year

Story of the Year, known also as Story and SOTY is an American post-hardcore and post-grunge band from St. Louis, Missouri, the United States in 1995. Originally the band was formed under the name Big Blue Monkey but they had to change the name in 2002 as another band had already almost the same name – Blue Monkey. The band composes of Dan Marsala – vocals, Ryan Phillips – lead guitar, Philip Sneed – guitar and back vocals, Adam Russell – bass guitar, Josh Wills – drums. The band has released three studio albums and the highest-charting one is the second album titled In the Wake of Determination. The album reached number 19 on the U.S. Billboard chart and spawned two singles “We Don’t Care Anymore” and “Take Me Back”.
