Stille Volk

French medieval music, Celtic music and folk metal band Stille Volk was formed in 1994. The band's current line-up comprises Patrick Lafforgue (vocals, wind instruments) and Patrice Roques (string instruments, choirs). In the beginning, they performed as a trio (Yan Arexis left the band) in various clubs. In the mid-1990, they signed a contract with Holy Records label. In 1997, they released their debut album, Hantaoma, which contained several singles such as "Hesta Dera Cagnolis", "Ode Aux Lointains Souverains", "Crepuscule Des Encantats", "Espirits Des Bois" and "Les Parques De La Lune". It also was heavily influenced by traditional Celtic sounds. A year later, they released their most successful album, Ex-uvies, which produced the band's popular tracks including "Zoopathia", "Tinibrante Azurie", "Chimires" and "Selena Koronna".
