Stereolab

Stereolab is an English alternative band formed in London, England in 1990. The band was founded by English composer Tim Gane and French lyricist Lætitia Sadier. The current band members are Tim Gane (guitar, keyboards), Lætitia Sadier (vocals, keyboards, guitar, trombone), Andy Ramsay (drums), Simon Johns, Joseph Watson and Julien Gasc. One more long-term member was Mary Hansen till her death in 2002. The band is often called “one of the most fiercely independent and original groups of the Nineties". The band’s sound was characterized as “post-rock”. They fused lounge, 1960s pop and experimental pop music. The band’s lyrics often featured socio-political topics and sometimes they are considered Marxist. During their career, the band has released quite a number of albums.
