Spice Girls

The Spice Girls was a British pop/dance-pop girl band formed in 1994. The band comprised Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice). They are the most successful girl group of all time. According to biographer David Sinclair, "Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh and Sporty were the most widely recognized group of individuals since John, Paul, George and Ringo". Spice is the biggest-selling album of the all time by a girl group with sales of 23 million copies worldwide. Their following albums, Spiceworld and Forever, yielded the hits "Spice Up Your Life", "Too Much", "Viva Forever" and "Goodbye". After a hiatus of nearly seven years, all five founding members of the group reunited in 2007 for a greatest hits album and a world tour.
