Sondre Lerche

Sondre Lerche is a Norwegian singer, guitarist and songwriter, born on September 5, 1982 in Bergen, Norway. He plays mainly pop, jazz and indie rock. He has become interested in music since his childhood. During that time, he was listening to A-Ha, the Beach Boys and Prefab Sprout. At the same time, he was introduced to Brazilian music by his guitar teacher and this reflected on his current music by usage of complex chords. He released his debut solo album Faces Down in 2001 in Europe and in 2002 in the United States. The album received positive critic reviews and Lerche supported his album touring not only alone but with one of his heroes Elvis Costello. His last album Heartbeat Radio came out in 2009.
