Smash Mouth

American alternative rock and pop rock band Smash Mouth from San Jose, California, was formed in 1994. The band's current line-up comprises Steve Harwell (lead vocals), Greg Camp (guitars, backing vocals, primary songwriting), Paul De Lisle (bass, backing vocals, occasional songwriting) and Michael Urbano (drums, percussion). They quickly gained popularity in the late 1990s with their multi-platinum debut album, Fush Yu Mang, which produced several hit singles such as "Why Can't We Be Friends", "Nervous in the Alley" and "Walkin' on the Sun". Two years later, they released their best selling album, Astro Lounge, which was certified platinum three times in the US. It also yielded the hits, "Diggin' Your Scene", "I Just Wanna See", "Waste", "All Star" and "Satellite". The album's lead single, "All Star", reached number one on both the U.S. Billboard Top 40 Mainstream and the U.S. Billboard Adult Top 40.
