Sixpence None The Richer

Sixpence None the Richer is an American rock/pop band formed in New Braunfels, Texas in 1992. The current line-up composes of Leigh Nash – vocals, Matt Slocum – guitar and cello, Justin Cary – bass. The band has released five studio albums. The breakthrough to the mainstream success happened in 1997 when the band released the eponymous album. It was supported by the hit single “Kiss Me”. It reached number one in Australia, charted in the United Kingdom being there at number 4 and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and on Adult Contemporary. Two other singles didn’t have the same massive success and became minor hits – “There She Goes” and “I Can’t Catch You”. The album was certified Platinum and the single “Kiss Me” became Gold.
