Sido

Sido, birth name Paul Hartmut Wurdig is a German rapper born on November 30, 1980 in Berlin-Prenzauler Berg. Sido stands for "super intelligentes Drogenopfer“ or “super intelligent drug victim”. He began his career in 1997 as part of the duo Royal TS where he sang along with his friend B-Tight. The debut solo album Maske was released in 2004. Sido is known for aggressive and provocative lyrics. During some time he appeared publicly wearing a mask, however he dropped this idea soon. The debut album spawned a single “Mein Block” that reached the top ten on the charts and solidified his popularity. The second album was titled “Ich” and the theird one is “Ich und meine Maske” (Me and my mask). This album reached the top of the German chart and spawned such singles like "Carmen", "Beweg dein Arsch" (feat. Scooter, Kitty Kat & Tony D) and others.
