Shins

The Shins is an American rock band formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the United States, in 1997. The band comprises James Mercer (singer-songwriter, guitarist), Ron Lewis (bassist), Dave Hernandez (bassist and guitarist), Joe Plummer (drummer) and Eric Johnson (of the Fruit Bats). Now the band is based in Portland, Oregon. They are notorious for covering a wide range of genres including alternative rock, folk, pop, alternative country, and indie. The band has achieved the mainstream success releasing their third album Wincing the Night Away which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 118,000 copies sold during the first week.
