Shinedown

American hard rock, alternative metal and southern rock band Shinedown from Jacksonville, Florida, was formed in 2001. The band consists of Brent Smith, Barry Kerch, Zach Myers and Eric Bass. The band quickly gained popularity with their debut album, Leave a Whisper (2003), which became the band's best-selling album and has been certified platinum by the RIAA in the United States. It also produced several singles such as "Fly from the Inside", "Burning Bright", "45" and "Simple Man". The album's first single, "Fly from the Inside", performed fairly well on the charts, and is still a very popular song amongst the fan base that remains in the set list at concerts.
