Sheena Easton

Sheena Shirley Orr, better known as Sheena Easton is a Scottish pop, rock, dance and adult contemporary singer, songwriter, producer and actress, born on April 27, 1959 in Bellshill, Scotland, the UK. Easton emerged on the music pop rock scene in 1980 with her debut album Take My Time. It became very successful, much more in the US than in the UK. The hit single "9 to 5" / "Morning Train" reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 while it was only 3d on the UK Singles chart. Her second big hit in the US was the song “For Your Eyes Only”. She focused on her career in America and in Japan where she was popular. Thus, she earned two Grammy Awards for “Best New Artist” and “Best Mexican-American Performance” for duet with Luis Miguel, a Spanish language single "Me Gustas Tal Como Eres".
