Shakti

English jazz and fusion music band Shakti was formed in 1975. The band comprised guitar player John McLaughlin, the Indian violin player L. Shankar, Zakir Hussain (on tabla), R. Raghavan (on the Mridangam) and T. H. "Vikku" Vinayakram (on Ghatam). Their music style was considered as a combination of Western and Indian music with a fusion of the Hindustani and Carnatic music sounds. They became famous in 1975 with their self-titled debut album, which produced three tracks such as "Joy", "Lotus Feet" and "What Need Have I for This/What Need Have I for That/I Am Dancing at the Feet of My Lord/All Is Bliss/All Is Bliss". This album also received critical acclaim. And now, you may download this album by Shakti in mp3 from our site.
