Seu Jorge

Seu Jorge, birth name Jorge Mário da Silva, was born on June 8, 1970 in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a Brazilian samba singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He is considered to renew Brazilian pop samba. Some of his major influences are American soul singer Stevie Wonder and samba school. As a singer, he began his career in the band Farofa Carioca, writing most of the songs for their debut album Moro no Brazil. Later he embarked on a solo career. The debut album Samba Esporte Fino was released in 2001. The album was released outside Brazil as well, however under another name – Carolina. His next album Cru was critically acclaimed and was released in Brazil, Europe and Japan. You can download this album by Seu Jorge in mp3 from our site.
