Serpent

Swedish doom metal band Serpent from Stockholm, Sweden, was formed in 1993. The band comprises Piotr "Docent" Wawrzeniuk (vocals, bass), Ulf Samuelsson (guitar) and Per Karlsson (drums). Originally the band was founded by Lars Rosenberg and Andreas "Wallan" Wahl. In 1993, they were signed with Vic Records. The band is also known as a side project formed by Therion and Entombed members. Their first demo cassette was recorded after just a few months, after that Piotr Wawrzeniuk joined the gruesome boys to play drums and sing, plus that they found a lead guitarist in shape of Johan Lundell. Suddenly, Andreas left Serpent (of unknown reasons). He was replaced by former Suffer-guitarist, Ulf Samuelsson. In 1998, they released their breakthrough album, Christcrusher, which produced several singles such as "Curtain Of Treachery", "Go Free Are The Wolves", "Christcrusher" and "Crystalmoors".
