Sentenced was a doom/gothic and death metal Finnish band from Muhos/Oulu, Finland formed in 1989. The band’s last line-up composed of Ville Laihiala - vocals, Miika Tenkula - guitar, Sami Lopakka - guitar, Sami Kukkohovi – bass and of Vesa Ranta – drums. The band broke up in 2005 and the death of one of the founding members Miika Tenkula ended any hopes for reformation. During its career the band released eight studio albums, two EPs, one Live album, one DVD and several singles. They are Killing Me Killing You, No One There, Routasydän, Ever-Frost and The Glow of 1000 Suns/Amok Run. Routasydän is the only band’s song in Finnish and it is dedicated to their hometown ice hockey team. In 2005 they released the Funeral Album which would be their last.
