Semisonic

American alternative rock, pop rock and power pop band Semisonic from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was founded in 1995. The band consists of Dan Wilson (lead vocals, guitar), John Munson (bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboard), and Jacob Slichter (drums, percussion, keyboard). They started their career with their self-released demo, Pleasure, which spawned their first hit single "Closing Time". This work also brought a record contract with CherryDisc for the band. They came to prominence with their breakthrough album, Feeling Strangely Fine, which yielded several hits such as "Closing Time", "Singing In My Sleep" and "Secret Smile".
