Sandi Thom, birth name Alexandria Thom is a Scottish pop and folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born on August 11, 1981 in Banff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She has become the youngest student accepted in the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts considered very prestigious. She quickly rose to the stardom releasing her debut album “Smile… It Confuses People”. The album reached the top spot of the UK Albums chart, reached number one in Ireland and peaked at number 11 in Australia and hit top 5 in New Zealand. The album spawned a hit single number one "I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair)" and two minor hits "What If I'm Right" and "Lonely Girl”.
