Sanctus Real

Sanctus Real is an American Christian rock and power pop band coming from Toledo, Ohio, the United States. The band was formed n 1996 and the current line-up consists of Matt Hammitt (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Rohman (lead guitar), Dan Gartley (bass), Pete Prevost (guitar), and Mark Graalman (drums). During their career, the band has released 4 studio albums and 17 singles. From 1996 till 2001, the band was touring around the US and sent their demos to record labels, both Christian and mainstream ones. Finally, they signed a contract with Sparrow Records. The debut album Say it Loud was released in 2002. Later, the band took part in the project In the Name of Love: Artists United for Africa. They covered U2 song “Beautiful Day” specially for that compilation. This cover has become their first ever charting single. The last album We Need Each Other came out in 2008.
