Sade

English soul, jazz and soft rock band Sade from London was formed in 1983. The band comprises Sade Adu, Stuart Matthewman, Paul Spencer Denman and Andrew Hale. The lead vocalist, Sade Adu, is the only woman in the band and is the only one to appear on their album and single covers. They achieved mainstream success with their breakthrough album, Promise (1985), which peaked at number 1 in the UK and has been certified double Platinum by the BPI.
