Roy Adrian Wood is an English rock singer-songwriter and musician born on November 8, 1946 in Kitts Green, Birmingham, England. He is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitars, bass guitar, sitar, cello, saxophones, banjo, mandolin, drums, percussion, bagpipes, keyboard, French horn and other instruments. He reached the popularity in 1960s and in the 1970s as a member and co-founder of the bands The Move, The Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard. At the same time, he is known as a solo artist. He has released seven albums. The debut solo albums the Boulders was released in 1973. The album was praised by Stephen Thomas Erlewine on Allmusic.com.
