Rodney Atkins

American country music singer and songwriter Rodney Atkins was born on March 28, 1969, in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the late 1990s, he signed to Curb Records and began recording his debut album. At the same year, he released his first hit single, "In a Heartbeat", which reached number 74 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. His debut album, Honesty, was released in 2003. He achieved mainstream success in 2006 with his second album, If You're Going Through Hell, which received platinum certification in the US. It also yielded the singles such as "These Are My People", "Watching You", "Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy)" and "If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)".
