American hip hop singer and rapper Rocko (birth name Rodney Ramone Hill Jr.) was born on March 27, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. In the beginning, he performed as an opening act for various popular bands and artists such as Monica, Shawty Lo, Gucci Mane, Gorilla Zoe, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, T.I. and many others. In the late 1990s, he created his own label called Rocky Road Records. He achieved mainstream success in 2008 with his breakthrough debut album, Self-Made, which received generally positive reviews from critics and included several guest appearances such as Lloyd, Dre and Monica.
