Robin Leonard Trower is a British rock, blues and blues-rock guitarist, musician and songwriter born on March 9 1945 in Catford, South East London, England. He began playing in the bands in the early 1960s and even founded the bands himself, like The Paramounts, The Jam and Procol Harum. He achieved his first success with the latter band but left it in 1971 in order to embark on a solo career. Thus, he worked out his own style and individuality, which allowed his to create his own band named Robin Trower Band. The band is still active now and they gave released quite a number of albums. The peak of the popularity was during the 1970s when they released several gold albums in one decade. Those albums are Bridge of Sighs, For Earth Below and Long Misty Days.
