Robert Plant
Robert Anthony Plant is a British vocalist and songwriter best known as the lead singer and lyricist in the rock band Led Zeppelin. He was born on August 20, 1948 in West Bromwich, Birmingham, England. In 1968 guitarist Jimmy Page was looking for a lead vocalist for his new band. He met Plant, later they were joined by John Bonham and John Paul Jones. At first they were known as “New Yardbirds” but later they changed their name for “Led Zeppelin”. The group reached the world wide popularity and it still remains very popular becoming the rock classics. After John Bonham death, the band broke-up and Robert Plant pursued a successful solo career.
