Richie Sambora

American rock and hard rock singer, songwriter and musician Richie Sambora was born on July 11, 1959, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, United States. He became popular as a lead guitarist of the American rock band Bon Jovi. At the age of 12, he began playing the guitar. During this time, he was heavily influenced by guitar legend Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Later, he was influenced by Spanish classical music. He achieved mainstream success as a solo artist with his debut album, Stranger in This Town. The album's lead single, "Ballad of Youth", reached number 63 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts. In the early 1980s, he released his second solo album, Undiscovered Soul, which produced the singles such as "If God Was a Woman", "All That Really Matters", "You're Not Alone", "Who I Am", "Downside of Love" and "Undiscovered Soul".
