Richard Wright

Richard William Wright, known also as Rick Wright was an English vocalist, pianist, keyboardist and songwriter. He was born on July 28, 1943 in Hatch End, Middlesex, England and died on September 15, 2008. He rose to fame as a member of legendary rock group Pink Floyd. Sometimes he was back vocalist and on some compositions he was even lead vocalist. He wasn’t such a prolific author as Roger Waters and David Gilmour but wrote songs which are considered to be classics of Pink Floyd. He contributed a lot to the album The Dark Side of the Moon and to Wish You Were Here. During his solo career he released only two albums Wet Dream (1978) – it didn’t have any commercial success and Broken China (1996).
