Guatemalan pop, latin pop and folk singer Ricardo Arjona (birth name Edgar Ricardo Arjona Morales) was born on 19 January 1964, in Jocotenango near Antigua, Guatemala. At the age of 8, being young he could already play the guitar. He kept studying and went through a teenage rebel phase which became a problem for him at school, but never put music aside, the only thing that he enjoyed. Time went by and he never forgot the idea of becoming a professional singer. At age 21, he got the opportunity to record his first album “Dejame decir que te amo”. In 2000, he released his first number-one album in the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart, Galería Caribe. The album spawned five singles "Cuando", "Lo Poco Que Queda de Mi", "Mesias", "A Cara O Cruz" and "Porque Hablamos" (featuring Ednita Nazario).
